In the name of the International Taekwondo-Do Federation and the Organizing Committee, I am pleased to invite you and Your Organization to the XX ITF SENIOR, XI JUNIOR, III VETERAN EUROPEAN TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009. Thanks to ITF, particularly the President Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa and his partners, the „CROATIAN TAEKWON-DO FREE STYLE UNION“, for the faith in me, as organizator of this important event.
The Organizing Committee is also pleased to announce the TAEKWON-DO EUROPEAN CUP 2009 is a competition open to all practitioners who are not participating to the XX ITF SENIOR, XI JUNIOR, and III VETERAN EUROPEAN TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009. 

These very important events are going to take place from 25th to 30th May 2009 at the Sporthall Umag, Croatia.
For us will be a fundamental commitment to organize a European Championship that respect real professionalism. This’ll be possible with the work of our Federation, that is now forming a Judges equip, but also with every your national organization’s preparation of expert Judges. This is a diligence for every one of us also for the future to our athletes.

We’ll work hard to make your permanence also a pleasant vacation. In fact Umag, small town and port on the north-western coast of Istria, presents 'Croatia’s gateway to Europe'. It also has the reputation of the Istrian sports centre, since as the host of the ATP tournament for many years now, it attracts numerous top world tennis players.

Its beneficial features were already recognized by the Romans who turned it into their summer residence. The magnificence and splendour of those times today is reflected in the many Venetian houses in the old part of Umag.

At a distance of only 40 kilometres from Trieste, 150 from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and 50 NM from Venice, Umag is a favourite holiday destination with extraordinary excursion possibilities. Umag’s hinterland offers newly discovered tourist attractions like mountaineering, caving and other chances for adventure enthusiasts.

We encourage all countries with multiple ITF Europe organizations to co-operate together the best team to represent your nation. INO’s are asked to encourage the involvement of ISD’s. All participating organizations will be required to provide qualified ITF Judges as part of their contingent.

All teams / individuals participating in the XX ITF SENIOR, XI JUNIOR, III VETERAN EUROPEAN TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 are required to arrive in Umag not later than Monday 25th May 2009. Please ensure that travel arrangements are made accordingly. Please be aware of deadlines for registration and payment. In order that we can accommodate your requirements for booking hotels.
